The joys of working for nothing

Well, as some of you may know, i started work placement almost 2 weeks ago. From all my lack of trying, i was unable to get a paid placement, which sucks. I had hopes that I would atleast be able to get something paid this time, but I was unable too. The placement so far hasnt been that bad, a bit boring, and un eventful, but thats the breaks i suppose. It just sucks that these organizations get free work from students who have to foot costs of just living during the time they are working for them. I just wish I had gotten one of the awesome internships, but those things are really hard to get, and then the whole topic of my last blog left me rather pissed off. My mum put it the best way I think, I look good on paper, but in person im well average, though in the last interview, I got a call at like 10.30am and was in for an interview at 2.30pm, doesnt give a lot of time to prepare and put thought into what you are going to say and do when you walk in.

It sucks this time of year, no income sure some of you are proabably thinking, why dont i just get a part time job. Well basically I see it like this, I am to old to get a part time job at a fast food outlet (They would have to pay me a higher rate), and I dont have enough experience to get into IT without a helping up by someone who is already there. The library job is execellent while im studing just a pitty I dont get some hours of the breaks. In the mean time i have to work for nothing and hope I gain something that will be worth something when i leave University, which I have been finding that hard to believe, besides learning how to deal with people without being paid I havent really learnt anything new that I think would help me outside.

Well, these blog entries have been turned into rant sessions about things I dont like in my life but meh thats what the internet is for!

I decided I would add a video to this one, Check it out! :D
