The efficient interview process...

[BEGIN RANT]
Well, who would of thought, sending an email to remove yourself from the application process and end up with an interview for what was in the job description as an "IT Trainee" now, when thinking about that job, how much experience do you think that you should require for a trainee position?

Basic knowledge of a computer
Basic knowledge of windows (XP/Vista/7)
Basic knowledge of Server OS (2003/2008)
Basic knowledge of CISCO routers
Knowledge on Programming Languages

Anything else come to mind? Some of these things may be too much, but i would say I have atleast some knowledge of all three of those, now considering that, how can you get called in for an interview within 6 hrs of being called up and then get an email saying they want people with more expereience. How much experience do you really need for an IT Trainee?? I would like to think, 2 years of playing with server 2003, active directory and group policy, doing lab tasks for 322 using CentOS and ubuntu setting up openldap, bind, pop3 services. Knowledge of C++, Java, PHP, HTML, javascript. Should be enough experience for an IT Trainee position, you would think, but no, obviously I don't meet that those requirements.
[END RANT]

Ah well from this i suppose I should take away experience in interviews, and the type of questions they asked me, so that in future interviews I can answer them better, and hopefully have more the 6hrs to get ready for the interview.
