The home of Wrighty on the Tubes

Well its almost official, I received a phone call tonight offering me a graduate position in Canberra. I have to admit, I have a number of mixed feelings about this whole thing.

Over the past several months, I have been working on and off on a perl script designed to read links (rapidshare or otherwise) from a mysql database and download them. It has been through many changes over the last few weeks, as I have been able to begin to improve it to work better and add more features for me.

At the moment, the script does:
* Downloads Rapidshare files (assuming you have a premium Account)
* Downloads normal files
* Creates a directory within a Download directory for the files to be downloaded to (this name is based off the filename of the file being downloaded)

Just an update, I am currently buried in Uni work, which is nothing new I suppose, but i am thinking i will keep trying to write blogs. I dont know if anyone reads them, though i really dont care, comments are always nice but I do it for me rather than anyone else. It helps me cope with the stress of university and life.

I decided I would try out enabling commenting on my blogs so that if anyone reads them, they can comment. Though they need to be given the OK by me before everyone can see them :D (Gotta have some control! :P)

Welcome to my home in the tubes...

It will be changing over the coming weeks and months as i get time out of Uni and work to play around with this durpal installation, but for the moment this is how it will stay until i get some down time to play... :D
